The current work of Steve Redhead builds on fifteen published books and many dozens of chapters, articles, reviews, presentations, podcasts and reports from four decades of working in various universities around the globe. Steve’s fifteenth book We Have Never Been Postmodern: Theory at the Speed of Light, published by Edinburgh University Press in Edinburgh, Scotland and distributed in North America by Columbia University Press, New York was nominated in 2011 for the 2012 Rene Wellek Prize awarded by the American Comparative Literature Association. Steve is currently working on a number of projects in what he has labelled ’mobile accelerated nonpostmodern culture’ or MANC. He continues to carry out research and consultancy for various publishers and research bodies on ‘mobile city cultures’, ‘post-subcultural criminology’ and ‘accelerated culture’.
